Legislative update 3/7

Hello Friends,

The budget amendments are still being worked out in Senate Finance.
Please continue to contact the Finance Committee and ask them to restore the $15 million to our program. A $60 million limit is already a 10-20% reduction from last year and the year before. A $45 million limit will be crippling to the industry.

In related news, Moe Maestas' bill, HB 415, passed in Committee today, after 3 attempts and much revision. This bill incentivizes loans for films under $5 million, promoting independent NM based filmmakers.
